Innovating Nutrition. Transforming Global Health.
The daily iron habit that's closing India's iron gap.
Developed with CSIR, manufactured by Deccan Health Care Limited, and validated through a randomised, placebo-controlled study at AIIMS New Delhi, Mosachi's Iron Fruit Bar delivers 9 mg of natural iron in a food girls and women look forward to, with 95.6% compliance. One bar, one programme, one state at a time.
The gap
Over 500 million Indians live with iron deficiency anaemia. Most solutions ask them to swallow a pill they'll quit within weeks.
Iron deficiency is the leading cause of anaemia worldwide. More than 5 billion people get less iron from food than they need, and about 1 in 3 women aged 15–49 live with anaemia. Anaemia shows up quietly at first, then everywhere: in energy, in concentration, in how a child does at school. It disproportionately affects women, adolescent girls, and children across India, and the default fix, an iron tablet, is where most interventions stall.
Stomach discomfort and constipation are common enough that compliance collapses long before haemoglobin has a chance to recover. The problem was never awareness. It's a format people will actually keep taking, day after day, without being reminded.
